This visa allows a foreign individual to travel to the United States to marry his/her U.S. citizen fiancé within 90 days of entering the country.

 

The foreign national will have to attend an interview at a U.S. embassy in his/her country, without the U.S. citizen fiancé.

 

This visa applies to same-sex couples. After getting married, the foreign spouse can adjust status to a legal permanent resident.

* The beneficiary's (client) home country determines the availability of visas and processing times for USCIS.

k-1 visa

  • Couple must have met in-person at least once within the last two years;

  • Intend to marry within 90 days of the foreign national entering;

  • Be legally able to marry in the state where the wedding will be held;

  • Have a good faith relationship that’s led to marriage proposal; and

  • Include a U.S. citizen fiancé petitioner (not a lawful permanent resident) that is petitioning the foreign national

 

This visa is for both male and female applicants.

Tourist & Business

This are the most popular type of visas today. The B-1 or B-2 are used for foreign individuals who would like to visit the United States for business or pleasure.

 

This visa is electronically linked to your passport and allows a visitor to stay in the U.S. for a maximum of 180 days per entry.

 

All visits are limited to business or tourism, so you cannot seek paid work or employment during your stay.

 

* Section 214(b) of the INA presumes that every B-1/B-2 applicant is an intending immigrant.

b-1 & b-2

Applicants can include anyone who can overcome the legal presumption that everyone is an intending immigrant by showing the following:

  • That the purpose of your trip to the United States is for a temporary visit; 

  • That you plan to remain in the United States for a specific, limited period of time;

  • Evidence of funds to cover your expenses while in the United States;

  • That you have a residence outside the United States, as well as other binding social or economic ties, that will ensure your return abroad at the end of your visit.

This visa is for those foreign individuals who are interested in traveling to the United States to study. Generally, an individual may apply to attend an accredited U.S. college/university.
